This year, Essential Energy hosted the Electricity Supply Industry Field Days which was held in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales in early May with good representation from all areas of Essential Energy and other New South Wales Authorities.

The heavy fleet team from Essential Energy had a number of new items of equipment on display. Featured on this display was a 10kN 3-Drum Winch mounted on new Isuzu FVZ1400. Also featured on this truck was a new high reach, Hiab truck-mounted crane. This unit had just been set up and was the first of many to be supplied for the massive re-conductoring work being carried out by Essential Energy over the next five years. The new truck/winch combination is a good example of how the truck should be set up to maximise the productivity of the 3-Drum Winch with emphasis on personnel safety being paramount.
